bruises and cross stitching

I tried, during the summer, to do something without further thinking or concept, just what I was feeling like doing.

I ended up with cross stitching and bruises.

I think now, with hindsight, that I was wondering about raw material and its link(s) to the notion of reality :

Bruises, visually speaking, are just different spot of color... Trying to represent a bruise in stitching is impossible, because it looses context.
(A bruise's context is body, skin, pain...)

So the material, the fabric, the weft, is kind of the signature of a medium.

There is a weft in video, but it is so light it is almost invisible.

In my project, I want to search this notion of weft in video, because it is this absence of visible material that makes video different from other media.
