As I want to explore the visibility of the medium video, I am willing to film my project with 3 different quality of camcorder/lens.
Therefore, one ipod, one compact camera, and one HDV camcorder.
These past few month I was trying to get the most perfect camcorder, I was trying to get exactly what I had in mind I didn't even notice that the whole purpose of my project was actually about all that, lenses and cameras. cause it is precisely what makes the identity of a video, whether it's CCTV blurry edges or Chaplin's fast moves.
In a way the more the camera gets what the filmmaker want, the more the medium gets invisible.
